Additional Information

The SAFE Foundation is an international development organisation based in Wales, founded in 2006 by Lucy Dickenson, becoming a registered charity in 2007. We were founded to aid and assist those communities and people in developing countries who are often unable to access the benefits of mainstream aid, and are often marginalized and very remote. Our ethos is simple, to encourage the empowerment of grass roots international communities so that they can generate their own sustainable development programmes and be in control of their own lifestyles. We also work at home in the UK where our aim is to change attitudes, broaden perspectives and involve and engage young people in global citizenship, particularly those in more deprived areas. SAFE’s current projects include India, Ghana, Uganda, Cambodia, Nepal, Sierra Leone and UK.
