We provide purposeful day care and training in farm related skills to enable learning disabled adults to make significant personal progress and grow in self confidence and skills. To teach employment related skills and develop Rangers' self-confidence and ability in farm related work, facilitating a move to paid and/or unpaid employment over the longer term within the wider community.

Little Gate farm provides purposeful day care and training; We strive to change lives, raise aspirations and increase the wellbeing of vulnerable adults in Hastings and Rother. Our goal is to equip learning disabled adults (Rangers) with the self-confidence and employment skills needed to go onto paid and unpaid employment opportunities in our local communities.   Skills are acquired in Farm animal care, Woodland management & Traditional craft, Horticulture & Food production, Enterprise & customer service skills, Conservation, Employability, volunteering and animal-care vocational qualifications are gained during a 2 year rolling programme that links to the level of ability of the individual and their personal plan. Portfolios are used to gather evidence and celebrate achievement.  Enterprise and marketing skills are taught at our regular farmers markets and through our wood fuel delivery service. This provides a showcase of skills and enables potential employers to build relationships with individuals over time and see their significant contribution and value.
