Ringwood Junior School is appealing for help with their Big Build fundraising campaign: building extension to facilitate the growing need for additional support services for the children at the school and the community groups who use the school facilities. Ringwood Junior School PTA is championing this campaign to raise nearly £500,000.00. The school is very short of resources and capacity, and I am heading this project as a volunteer. I am not a professional fundraiser, and I am trying to understand and grapple all the aspects involved in this mega project which I am passionate about. This is where we need your kind help. We need to make the campaign very visible (starting with a landing page on the school's website), communicate the campaign to the school community and local business community to draw their support, a marketing & social media strategy, a comms plan/strategy to develop a relationship with prospective donors/philanthropists. Ringwood Junior School BIG BUILD project. I am writing to you as a representative of Ringwood Junior School, where we are committed to provide a nurturing environment for our students. We are embarking on an ambitious project, the BIG BUILD, which is crucial for enhancing our support services. Every day Ringwood Junior School provides pastoral support sessions to guide our students; termly, around 450 sessions. The school also provides around 400-500 additional teaching interventions each term for pupils who require learning support. Imminently, the school will facilitate wrap-around, before and after school services, for around 70 children a day. Our school is more than just a place where children learn. It is a place where they feel safe, explore, grow and discover their potential. The extension is urgently needed to facilitate the provision of pastoral support, additional teaching interventions for our students, who face many challenges and difficulties in their lives, and the wrap-around care services. The extension will offer a multi-purpose space available to all our school community, and it includes cloak and toilet facilities. The build cost is just over £483,000.00, which is beyond the reach of our school budget. We are appealing to you as leaders of the business sector, who have business roots in Ringwood. You have the power and the influence to make a difference in the lives of our young learners.
