Resolution:Possible aims to create a better world through learning about the place of the individual within the context of global events and applying this learning to our everyday lives.
Education and Skills
Resolution:Possible grew from the conviction that we cannot look at a problem in isolation. When we form opinions and create solutions it is rare that we give ourselves the time and space to look at all sides of the problem. This way solutions to problems, be it on a global scale or on a grass roots level, are often unsustainable. We believe that first and foremost there needs to be an understanding of all factors of a problem. Only then can we start to have constructive conversations and come to sustainable agreements and solutions. A region that illustrates a lack of cohesive understanding leading to lack of sustainable solutions is the African Great Lakes region. It is this region that sparked the creation of Resolution:Possible and we use it as a case study of what happens when not all connections to the issue are thoroughly considered when designing a solution. Programmes We envisage that we will be able to achieve this way of thinking through a process of three steps: "Better understanding" (Learning) "Do better" (Application) "Better world" (Result) These three steps will take form in workshops, talks, online conversation platforms on our website and social media, partnerships with like-minded organisations as well as companies from within the corporate sectors and reports.
