Additional Information

Every day, about 800 women die in pregnancy or childbirth from complications that are entirely preventable. The majority of the world’s population lives in poverty, lacking basic sanitation and nutrition, and most pregnant women will never see a doctor or a qualifed midwife. Maternal Healthcare, malaria and HIV/AIDS are a challenge in Kuria leading to high morbility and mortality rates. Our project is to enable the poor people in remote areas easily and readily access health services, putting more emphasis to , mother and child healthcare. The previously established Mother and Child Rural Health clinic is an initiative of KDCM to create a condusive environment well equiped with all the neccesary equipment, drugs and qualified midwives and volunteer health practitioners.<!--?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /--> We also offer business coaching and mentorship to the you and impoverished women in rural villages of Kuria, and equip them with interest-free loans for startup, the loans repaid back is given to another individual of family to establish their own business and give back.
