Mission

Our website (http://www.rcpwd.com/) is our biggest priority, in urgent need of updating, we have outgrown our current website and are looking for a page that: -Will be design friendly for a Western audience -Contain widgets for social networking and fundraising -With additional room/flexibility for simple pages (News and events, volunteer-with-us, allowing local Ghanaian's to book our facilities) In addition, -A refreshed logo with a more recognisable and evocative design would be greatly appreciated but not necessary. -We require illustrators/designers to facilitate ideas we have for a series of posters aimed for distribution showing the challenges faced by people with disabilities and the skills and resolve they have, on display. We welcome any help we can get and look forward to hearing from you!

Hello, We are the Resources Centre for People with Disabilities, a small NGO working to provide support for the unsupported people with disabilities in the poorer North of Ghana. We are a mix of ten nationals and internationals working on a shoestring budget in a single room (with limited internet and electricity!) They are currently unsupported by the government AND stigmatised over perceptions of being: -Deservedly punished by God or voodoo -Burdens and non-contributing to society We are currently working on a sensitisation campaign to both reverse stigma and empower the disabled and are doing so in a hugely religious/traditional environment.
