My background was initially in direct marketing - direct mail, telesales, door drops and a wide range of other media. I've worked in financial services, utilities and telecoms, and in all of these sectors there is a real focus on the numbers, so I've had to adapt, learn and test new ideas over the years to find out what works and what doesn't. From there, not surprisingly I've also built up a specialism for internet marketing, which is even more measurable still. I've built websites, helped clients get their sites found on Google, managed pay per click advertising campaigns and helped them make sense of their web analytics data. If you're looking for support at a more strategic level, I can help with that too. I'm a tutor for the Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma programme and I regularly have to help students from a wide variety of industry sectors to put together their strategic marketing plans for their assignments.
