SGOSS' vision is for every school and college in England to have a diverse governing body driving school improvement. Every child should have access to an excellent education, and we want more professionals to volunteer in schools to help make this a reality.

School Governors have a similar role to charity trustees, and volunteer roughly 7 hours a month to help ensure school pupils across the country receive the best possible education. Schools need professionals with marketing, PR and comms skills to help them market and communicate their vision and identity. This helps them attract industry partnerships, community support, top teaching talent and high pupil numbers. SGOSS is the charity set up to offer a FREE service matching interested volunteers with local schools that need their skills.
