Mission

Our Mission is to reach as many people as possible in our local community and to improve their well being through the provision of a diverse range of affordable complementary therapies, affordable holistic work shops and affordable meditation classes We believe that receiving affordable therapies our clients get an increased sense of self worth and visibility and they are giving feedback which informs us that they are having a decrease in symptoms of stress and anxiety, aches and pains and noting an improved sleep pattern. They are also telling us that their relationships with people around them is improving because they are feeling much more relaxed. We also believe in helping each other to take care of each other so each team member is encouraged to look after their health by trading treatments with other team members. We find also that this allows us true insight into the high quality of treatments on offer to the clients so we are then able to recommend other practitioners from the project to the clients in good faith, from a place of experience. Our plan includes delivering our therapies as a whole team at a variety of locations including our local community centre, other local community projects, local schools, businesses and rest homes and other local well being events

Additional Information

The Human Touch project is answering a need in our local community to provide Affordable Therapies for All on a weekly basis from a shared space in our local community centre. We started in Febraury with 4 therapists and have quickly grown to currently 11 therapists and aiming to attract more. Until recently we were totally self funding the project so our publicity was very low key, then I got a place at the Lloyds bank School for Social Entrepreneurs and we were given a small grant. I decided to use a quarter of the grant to fund the publicity for a launch event which happened on the 8th of November, already we are seeing results from this first publicity campaign in the form of more bookings, however the rest of the grant has had to be allocated to other needs within the project, so even though it would clearly be beneficial to continue and to build on our current media campaign we are financially unable to
