We envision a world in which people can access and own the technology they need to create just, abundant and sustainable societies. To make that vision into a reality, we contribute free/libre/open-source (FLO) solutions for nonprofit and civic sectors to the global information commons.

Sarapis brings technologists, subject-matter experts, communities and nonprofits together to produce solutions to local challenges.  All of our solutions are free/libre/open-source, meaning that the code and intellectual property we develop is given to the global knowledge commons.  Some people call this "copyleft."  It means anyone, anywhere, can take our work, modify it to fit their own unique needs, and use it however they see fit - without restriction. We're currently working with projects in three sectors: * Emergency Management (aka disaster relief) * Sustainable Agriculture * Public Intelligence
