A team of influential youth and communities leaders have joined forces to create a day event for young people dealing with social issues for example , street violence , domestic abuse , bullying , mental health illness , lack of self confidence . We have called Empowerment day. Which aims to bring all those working with young people coming together to creat an powerful impact in empowering the youth aged 13-17. The day will provide young people with the opportunity to learn new skills , form positive relationships and build up confidence and simply be themselves! We aim to do this through connecting young people with successful business owners , community leaders and advisors from a variety of services. We will then engage them in 1 of 4 fun interactive workshops (Drama, Music, Radio presenting and Games). The day will end with a few hours of live entertainment and guest speakers sharing their stories and experiences when they have over come difficult situations.
