Find Get Give was born out of the Comic Relief, Nominet Trust, and Right Here’s Innovation Labs – a national programme looking at bringing young people’s mental health into the digital arena.As one of seven projects to go forward and get green-lighted, it already competed with over 100 other ideas, and was chosen by young people as one of the ideas they’d like to see. In a sentence, Find Get Give is an online, England-wide listings database for mental health services working with 16-25 year olds. However, there’s so much to it that we feel it’s difficult to pigeon-hole it into a single sentence. The work that’s taken place on Find Get Give has been in conjunction with young people aged 16-25, living in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne, Sheffield, and Newham. This has ensured that from conception, to finished product, and at every stage in between that young people have helped build, test, and feedback on the design. Through a series of iterations, Find Get Give became something that they wanted to use, and we are now adding as many services* as we can to the website to ensure it offers the widest choice possible to young people.In addition to this, Find Get Give offers young people the opportunity to feedback about their experiences with different mental health services. Whilst this feedback is moderated, we want to see praise and/or criticism that both enables other young people to make informed choices, and also allows services to act upon the experiences their service users have had.We hope you’ll enjoy using Find Get Give, whether you are a young person or working in mental health and want to list your service.
