Personal Introduction

Raised in northern Indiana amidst cornfields and sprouting shopping centers, I studied photography, graphic design, typography and fine art. In my twenties I traded in the rural landscape for the steel and concrete pastures of Chicago. There, I graduated from Columbia College with a BA in Interactive Multimedia and Sound Design. I then moved to Syracuse, NY to study broadcast journalism to meld my love for documentary film, sound design and multimedia. My passion for design inspires me daily - I'm fascinated by the seemingly simple yet complex designs in nature, the symmetry of architecture and the colors that surround us. I love breathing new life into old objects and repourposing items to create new objects. I currently live in Upstate NY with my best friend/husband, two awesome step kids who love culture, laughter and good music, a dog too spoiled for her own good, another who takes advantage of my good nature and a cat who's plotting to rule us all.
