Mission

The AIRE Centre transforms people’s lives by ensuring the protection of their rights. We provide free legal advice and representation to migrants whilst supporting practitioners to navigate the maze of European law. The specific areas of work we cover include legal advice and assistance to EU migrants, survivors of domestic violence, victims of human trafficking and refugees whose civil liberties are being threatened. The charity works directly with migrants to understand and meet their needs and concerns.

Along with addressing immediate needs of vulnerable individuals and groups we campaign for systemic change. Through our interventions in cases taken to the European Court of Human Rights and to the Court of Justice, we are best placed to stop human rights violations happening by addressing the root cause of the problem.
