Marketing Steering Committee Member

Description

We are looking to appoint a new member of our steering committee, and we are particularly seeking an individual with up to date experience of marketing and communications to complement the skills and backgrounds of existing committee members. We are looking for someone willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of experience on our Board. Bring your marketing expertise to our organisation and help us to devise and implement a marketing strategy. Providing guidance and support to the Managing Director and other staff in preparing marketing campaigns, updating our media content and creating relevant messaging. Regular communication with the staff team to keep abreast of work that may involve marketing support. Keeping the board informed about marketing decisions and campaigns undertaken. Representing the organisation in a marketing/PR capacity to external organisations (e.g. funders) as required. To add value to the Board’s operation, experience is sought in the following areas: A current or recent career within marketing and communications. Coaching/mentoring skills Interest in food systems, environmental action and community based work. Experience or interest in supporting not for profit organisations, understanding of how a CIC works. Willing to play an active role in areas such as professional meetings, fundraising events, meet and greet sessions with our members and volunteer thank you events.
