African Promise is a small but ambitious charity working to improve the quality and provision of primary education in rural Kenya by ensuring that schools are equipped to deliver an education worth having.

We rebuild, extend and upgrade existing schools and then establish a long-term partnership that delivers on-going support in areas where it is needed most. We currently support a cluster of schools in the isolated and rural Kasigau region of south east Kenya. Together these schools serve more than 2,500 disadvantaged children.

Filming and broadcast of London fundraising event

Description

We need help to film and live broadcast our Christmas Carol Service in 2024 to help us reach a wider audience in the UK and around the world and ultimately raise more money for our work! The in-person event will be held at St Giles-in-the-Fields Church in central London on the evening of Wednesday 11 December 2024. The event features musical performances, congregational carols and readings from stars of stage and screen which has previously included the likes of Charles Dance, Brian Blessed and Sheila Hancock. You can find out more about the event at https://www.africanpromise.org.uk/support-us/events/carol-service/ Ideally you would be able to provide your own recording and broadcast equipment but this is not essential as it could be hired if necessary. We would reimburse reasonable expenses. This opportunity would be suited to film or media students but we welcome interest from anyone with the necessary skills and/or experience and look forward to hearing from you.
