Mission

We want to help the financially excluded obtain safe credit at reasonable rates so they don't get into debt with loan sharks or payday loans. We want to establish the habit of savings and thrift among our members so that they are able to support themselves in hard times. We want to establish a savings habit in children via our young savers at schools program so that they are able to support themselves in the future.

We are a financial co-operative run by our members for our members. You must work, study or live in Berkshire to be a member. Unlike a bank, we ae a not for profit organisation run mostly by volunteers, any surplus profit we make goes back to our members in the form of dividend. We offer an ethical place for people to save and loan money. If our members do need credit we make sure that each members loan is reviewed on an individual basis and tailored to meet their needs and circumstances, we never grant loans that we don’t think our members can afford. There are no additional feed, penalties or charges with our loans and they are life insured
