Personal Introduction

Hi there - I'm a CIM qualified marketing and communications professional with over 10 years experience working across a variety of roles within both the private and public sector.  I have particular strengths in copywriting, digital marketing, social media and event management, and I would like to use my marketing skills and experience to support charitable and voluntary organisations grow, as well as develop my own skills and exposure to social marketing.

Experience

My previous roles have include Managing Writer and Editor within a global logistics and healthcare organisation, leading on two stakeholder magazines covering a diverse audience group.  This included identifying, sourcing, drafting and editing articles, working closely with design agencies to manage magazine production, and identifying appropriate distribution channels. I've also led on the development of high profile marketing communication campaigns across areas as diverse as sustainability and behaviour change.  Most recently, I led a campaign to reduce unnecessary A&E attendances across south west London, which achieved a 7% year-on-year reduction. I am skilled in developing copy for websites, with experience in SEO.  I'm also skilled in the use of social media, having established a social media presence for my current employer which has delivered increased market awareness and engagement within 18 months.
