Family Space is for young pre-school families. 96% are isolated and desire to connect with other families and access support. 77% have English as their 2nd language. 27% are single parent families and 88% live in social housing. Our parenting training courses have a 94% retention rate. AnD Space provides therapeutic help for school children experiencing emotional difficulties. SVFP has Art & Drama therapy students facilitating individual or group sessions. Last year 22 local school children had 304 sessions. Safe Space offers children with separated parents to stay in contact with their non-resident parent. Our Contact Centre has supervised child contact every Saturday. Last year 47 families benefited. Volunteer Space provides opportunities for Student Interns and individuals wanting to make a difference, to volunteer within a charity that works with general and acute need. We have over 45 volunteers, including many long-term volunteers, and those giving significant hours per week. Volunteers are provided with training and supervision.
Family Support
St Vincent’s Family Project is a registered Christian Vincentian charity supporting over 215 vulnerable families, addressing parenting, child welfare and social exclusion. Our users experience deprivation and poverty’s wider effects. We offer a community which inspires, supports, and enables positive growth. Our six Vincentian values are; being respectful, inspired, Travellers together, professional, holistic and compassionate. The project is centrally located in Westminster with easy transport links.
