Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care (SCCCC) helps older people in their own homes avoid loneliness and isolation. We work with volunteers and provde 1-1 friendly visiting for people who do not have any family members or whose family live away. We also provide them with practical help and support both before they are admitted to hsopital or once they have been discharged.  Our dedicated volunteers and staff are the backbone of the organisation and very often play a significant role in helping older people who may have nobody else to turn to for practical or friendly support.
