Sing for Pleasure was founded in 1964 as the British branch of the international singing movement, A Coeur Joie. Our main activities are as follows:  We offer high quality singing courses and a nationally respected conductor training programme for adults of all abilities, both professionals and amateurs.  We support learning in schools by offering national curriculum compatible teaching resources and INSET training.  We run an annual subsidised summer school for gifted children.  We provide bursaries for choir masters and teachers to attend our courses and Summer School, sharing their learning once back in the classroom.  We also publish a wide range of song collections, encouraging juniors, youth choirs and adults to broaden their repertoire and knowledge.
