Our mission is to: Support people with a disability across Kirklees, to fulfil their potential and lead happy and purposeful lives Involve these people and their families, staff and other stakeholders in every aspect of the services and activities we provide. Campaign for change & improvement in the lives of people with a learning disability Build on our high quality services and be responsive to changing needs Run an effective & well managed organisation which provides excellent value for money.

We are a local charity affiliated to, but not financially supported by Royal Mencap, campaigning for and providing support to people with a learning disability. The charity was founded sixty years ago by a group of concerned parents who wanted a better life for their learning disabled children and we are srtill operating in the Kirklees area today. We deliver day, residential and home based support under contract to the local authority as well as a number of social and leisure groups. As a new Chief Executive I am very interested in how we make our staff feel valued and how we can improve communication throughout a dispersed workforce.
