I am Marketing Manager with broad capabilities to link traditional and digital media. I have experience in the not for profit sector, but also in the private sector, enabling me to bring a commercial approach to my work. I have strong writing skills and exceptional attention to detail. I am effective at working in teams and applying other leadership qualities that result in quality outcomes. Experience

Marketing Manager                                                                                                          09/2010 – to date Sedex Sedex is a not for profit membership organisation for businesses who are committed to improving the ethical performance of their supply chain. I am responsible for delivering the global marketing strategy, working closely with the Business Development Team to generate leads, and producing consistent and informative communications. Produced a set of marketing collateral, including an Annual Report, sales presentations and a promotional brochure. This involved working closely with other departments to identify key objectives, managing external agencies and writing clear and engaging copy. Managed the re-development of the Sedex website. This entailed working closely with the technical team to create detailed specifications, coordinating a website ‘working group’, managing translations, liaising with different departments to identify key messages, and creating clear, informative and engaging copy. Developed a set of detailed brand guidelines and corresponding templates to ensure that the Sedex brand is communicated clearly and consistently and communicated these guidelines across the company to ensure employee buy-in.   Communications & Events Officer                                                                             12/2008 – 09/2010 Mayor of London’s Green Procurement Code (LRS Consultancy) LRS provides professional consultancy services to help companies improve their environmental performance. I managed the communications activity for the Mayor of London’s Green Procurement Code – an LDA funded project providing sustainable procurement advice to London organisations. Project managed the re-design of the Green Procurement Code website. This involved creating a creative brief, supplier management, liaising with funders, creating effective web copy, and devising a promotional campaign to publicise the new site. This resulted in a 39% increase in website ‘hits’. Organised an awards ceremony for over 200 guests, featuring high profile speakers such as the Deputy Mayor of London. I was responsible for all aspects of the event including: sourcing a venue; managing speakers & exhibitors; creating event publications; on site event management; pre and post event publicity. Produced copy for a range of high quality print and digital publications. This included a quarterly e-newsletter; press releases, case studies, news and feature articles.   Marketing & Events Coordinator                                                                                 06/2008 – 12/2008 Park Royal Partnership                                                                                                            PRP is an urban regeneration partnership, committed to the promotion and economic development of Park Royal, one of London’s most strategic business locations. In this role I coordinated the marketing and events activity. Organised a variety of events from initial planning though to post event evaluation, including a 25th anniversary gala dinner for over 200 attendees, and smaller scale workshops, training events and networking sessions. Coordinated publicity for the launch of a virtual office service. Activities included producing 1000 promotional leaflets, writing and distributing a press release to local press and partner newsletters, creating web content promoting the service. Conference Coordinator                                                                                                01/2007 – 01/2008 Institutional Investor                                                                            Institutional Investor Conferences is a leading provider of highly interactive investment strategy conferences for senior money managers and financial executives. In this role I assisted on several events around the USA & abroad. 14th Annual MARHedge Global Hedge Fund Summit, Bermuda; MARHedge’s flagship conference, focusing exclusively on the hedge fund market. Over 600 delegates, 80 sponsoring companies and over 80 high profile industry speakers. 5th Annual Hedge Fund Industry Awards Dinner, New York; a high profile event recognising the hedge fund leaders, managers and investors who have made significant impacts on the hedge fund industry. Over 400 attendees, 20 sponsors, over $250,000 in revenue. Equalities Assistant                                                                                                        07/2006 – 01/2007 Age Concern Cymru                                                                                                                   ACC is a leading charity whose mission is to improve life for all older people in Wales through a combination of campaigning, fundraising, awareness raising and local initiatives. I provided administrative and marketing support to the newly established Equalities & Diversity Team.  Took a lead role in the organisation of a large conference on Age Discrimination & Human Rights. The 2 day conference attracted over 200 delegates and featured high profile speakers from the Welsh Assembly Government.  Coordinated the production and distribution of a quarterly e-newsletter that was distributed to support workers throughout Wales. This involved collecting content from internal and external sources, managing translations, copywriting and proofreading.
