Mission

Humanity is at a crossroads. Worldwide we are witnessing vast areas of the Earth that are currently being damaged and degraded by human-induced deforestation, desertification, pollution leading to ecosystem collapse. Even the most prosperous and seemingly secure places are now utterly dependent on other regions, which in turn may be under greater levels of stress as a result of the demands being placed upon them by the urban change worldwide.We must now act with great urgency to heal the damage, it is in our own best interest to do so.

Naturally Smart Places is a school-based programme which focuses on solutions for a sutainable planet. It basically shared solutions, through projects undertaken in hundreds of different school locations, worldwide. We work together to learn how to use ecological skills and understanding to ensure the restoration of degraded environments, from the city to the forest, we begin in the kindergarten and we work from there. We learn how to design interventions, establish new solutions, share the findings and collaboratively  ensure ecological functionality returns to our places - which in turn has profound human consequences.
