Mission

We are dedicated to saving the world's last remaining gorillas in the wild from extinction. We tackle the immediate threats facing both mountain and lowland gorillas, including habitat loss and poaching, while also addressing the underlying causes of these threats, largely poverty and a lack of sustainable food and fuel within the communities surrounding the gorilla habitat.

The Gorilla Organization is an international conservation and development NGO, with resource centres in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC, as well as an office in London. We work with communities in Africa to protect gorillas from both short and long-term threats. Key projects include anti-poaching patrols, poacher rehabillitation programmes, sustainable farming, tree planting and community outreach, including conservation education.
