Additional Information

Whilst in Birisiri (Bangladesh) in 2015, a group of ICS volunteers discovered a serverly impoverished children's hostel. With the aim of giving the children the valuable experience of a childhood the Bondhutto Project was created. Every Friday for four hours the children go to the local YMCA and are given a nutritious meal, the ability to play in a safe environment, vital emotional support and the chance to experience a childhood free from poverty. This project has been running since April 2015 and due to initial funding ran until June 2015, fortunately we then secured our first grant from the Dorothy Holmes Trust which will ensure the project runs until August 2016.  We are currently putting processes in to make the project sustainable and ensure it progresses.
