Leeds
Our mission is to support, grow, upskill and strengthen the movement from orphanage based care to family based care across the world. We do this by training the workforce of those in developing countries as well as offering training on the alternatives to orphanage based care. We seek to provide the why, what and how of social work with children and families.
Disability
We offer training and consultation to NGO's (charities) and governments in developing countries to transition from orphanage based care to family based care. We have experienced and qualified staff in social work, psychology and law that can train and support staff in developing countries develop good practice that enables children to live within their own or alternative families within their communities. For children family based care is there preferred option, provides better outcomes and prepares them for adulthood. Orphanage based care may meet their physical needs but rarely provides children the emotional needs we all strive for. We work with a variety of organisations and do not charge small ngo's for our services as we wish to be inclusive of everyone. Currently we are undergoing change to provide more online resources, to increase staff, and develop a more active presence in a growing movement for change.
