http://www.CardinalHumeCentre.org.ukHelping families and young people overcome poverty and homelessnessWe give young homeless people age 16-24 a safe place to live and rebuild their lives. We are also very active in alleviating family poverty, and working with refugees and young asylum seekers. The Cardinal Hume Centre enables people to gain the skills they need to overcome poverty and homelessness. We work with homeless young people, badly housed families and others in need.We take the ethos of our Catholic founder seriously, ensuring that we offer both a non-judgemental welcome and a stable and safe environment for people in need to seek help and support. Everyone who comes to the Centre is treated as an individual and much of our work is done on a one-to-one basis.
Poverty Alleviation
2016 is the start of our 30th anniversary, and we want to create a Cardinal Basil Hume day, as focus for schools and Catholic parishes to do fundraising. We would welcome some pro-bono support to help us with ideas and initiatives to best maximise this, especially in this our 30th year.
