Mission

The New Forest Association is one of the oldest conservation organisations in the world. It is dedicated to protecting and sustaining the traditional character of the New Forest in southern England.The New Forest is a unique survivor of medieval Europe and is internationally important to nature conservation and to biological science. It has been a national park since 2005.The NFA seeks to conserve this important area in the face of modern pressures through education, understanding and practical help.

The New Forest Association has always played a leading role in the fights to secure the future of the New Forest. Today the NFA is the New Forest national park society and continues to be an independent campaigning charity based on its membership and volunteers. in 2017, the NFA celebrates its 150th anniversary. At the same time, the Association will update its image and brand. As part of the events planned, in October 2017, the NFA will host the National Parks Society's Annual Conference. Clearly, with such a significant year imminent, and no reduction in the matters requiring our attention, there are considerable marketing and public relations opportunities available.
