As part of our support to institutionalize climate change/disaster risk reduction   and issues into our plan and support the sustainability of the environment through pre, mid and post awareness creation in various parts of the nation with your present community as pilot.   The project was launched on 5th June 2012 to support our initiative to mark the World environment day in line with the laudable millennium development Goals (MDG’s) initiatives and United Nations Environment programme (UN, EP) recommendation and partnership project. As part of our integrated activities and contribution to world response to climate change, disaster risk  reduction and sustained environment, we wish to scales up and expand our awareness creation to hard reach communities especially in some highly vulnerable communities, this project is scalable, replicable and cost effective.   Investment in today’s environmental sustainability is investing in safety of lives and properties which leads to accumulation of human capital, which also is the key to sustainable economic growth, development and increasing income. The need to empower Nigerians towards the visions, missions of sustainable environment cannot be over emphasized.  We need your support/partnership to help make young people to be ambassadors of sustained and enabling environment  known as SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT CORP #SEC in line with SDG’s No 3 support project known as BETTER LIVING OASIS WELFARE OUTREACH INITIVE as approved by United nation partnership project referenced #12105. This is  a community oriented voluntary based project,  aimed at creating sustainable friendly environment  as our support to SDG’s  and the federal government programs on the environment and climate change  through integrated approach with technical support from your ministry and other relevant agencies . This request is to enable the organization have access/ participation by giving their voluntary service during environmental programme in Nigeria. OUR AIM- Sustainable Environment Corp #SEC# serves as an auxiliary partner to Government with the aim of creating an enabling environment for the people within a tropical region by developing a “must” culture for a green society, for a better attitude/discipline on ways of attending to issues on the environment and disaster management.  We will engage in relief (environmental sanitation and management)during disasters such as flood, , mass rally, crusade, political, religious and other social engagement , bomb blasts, ethnic, religious crisis and even care for refugees etc. While other agencies are carrying out other humanitarian duties, we will make sure that the environment is clean. SEC is purely voluntary. OUR FOCUS is on mobilizing people towards cleaning and having a healthy Environment. We will also engage in tree planting to reduce in-take of carbon and desert encroachment. Sign posts will be used to create early warning signals on potential disasters such as: drainage system blockage as a result of illegal waste disposal, spill clean-up as result of pipeline breakages/linkages, damage of high tension wires and gas line, desert encroachment, and de-forestation, etc. Through its integrated approach SEC will make sure that volunteers mobilize their immediate community on weekly, monthly sanitation programs and awareness sensitization campaign by creating awareness on the need for a clean and enabling environment.
