Mission
It is my personal mission as charity manager is to offer assistance to anyone with a disability, and also stop the waste of NHS products which are ending up in landfill for no reason. In 2022 Skiggle saved £2M of medical products ending up in landfill, hence saving our very precious NHS money.
Skiggle is a unique charity and community, which exists to provide help and support to disabled people, their families, and carers across the UK. With Skiggle, life always comes before the disability.
We’re the only disability charity of its kind in the UK dedicated to helping people with disabilities when they need it most.
We fund and operate a unique 24/7 SOS emergency alert service and run an online marketplace where people can safely rehome and distribute disability care products and equipment.
SOS alert service
Our website connects to an emergency SOS alert system where members can put out a call for urgently needed care essentials. Completely free of charge, Skiggle facilitates and filters each request out to members within the closest geographical area to the SOS in the hope that someone can provide help from their own surplus supply of disability care products. Make sure you give us your mobile number to use this service.
Marketplace
The Skiggle online marketplace is a safe, fully regulated place where disability and care products can be rehomed and distributed free of charge and specific larger items can be bought and sold as appropriate. For your safety and the safety of others, you will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions relating to the movement of products when signing up.

Additional Information
Skiggle is a growing UK disability charity, which runs a unique SOS emergency alert service, facilitates an online marketplace, and runs a forum to support people across the disabled world. Our 10,000-strong network of members step up to help each other in times of need by answering SOS alerts and collectively working as a rescue service for the disabled world. If you’re miles away from home and your disabled child’s feeding tube breaks or a global pandemic affects your usual supply of equipment or care products, just send a completely free of charge SOS and Skiggle will help find someone nearby to come to your aid. Our aim is to grow the charity to such a point that, wherever you may be in the country, help will never be any more than 10 miles away. We also facilitate an online marketplace where hundreds of unopened pieces of equipment and various care products, can be safely donated, distributed, and shared among those in need. Not only does this give people somewhere to turn if they need sealed feed items, specialist disability equipment, or care consumables, it also helps cut down some of the huge amount of plastic waste that would otherwise end up in landfill. The charity succesfully saved £2M of products from entering landfill in 20222, therefore this has in turn saved the NHS money. As a charity run solely by our founder, Christine Singleton, we rely on generous donations and fundraising efforts to meet the annual running costs of providing a completely free SOS service and to secure the future of a unique charity for those who need it most.
