Mission

We aim to use the every day running of the farm to help support different members of the community. We run a number of different projects on the farm that enable to people to work on different skills such as team building, self confidence and relationships.

We are a 40 acre care farm based in Abberton just outside of Colchester in the heart of the Essex countryside.  A care farm brings together the care of the land, environment and animals with care of the people.  A care farm opens it’s doors to anyone who can benefit from being out in the countryside and enjoy taking part in the daily life of a working farm. At Wellies On our philosophy is… “Tell me and I’ll forget; Show me and I might remember; Involve me and I’ll understand.”   Wellies On welcomes farm helpers (known as Co-Farmers) from many different backgrounds with varying needs, abilities, strengths and weaknesses.
