HOME-START STAFFORD AND DISTRICT (CHARITY NUMBER1105024) We are a charity working within the Borough of Stafford supporting families who are going through difficult times by providing trained, parent volunteers who visit the family regularly in their own home.  AIM  The aim of Home-Start support is to prevent escalation and to enable families to become confident, able to cope with the stresses and strains of life and to become active members of their community. Home-Start has a proven, lasting, positive impact on the development of children and on the health and welfare of the family

OUR SERVICE   We are a preventative service; the support that we offer prevents the issues within the family escalating. The issues that the families face include isolation, mental and physical health (of parent or child), domestic violence, low self-esteem, debt management, substance abuse, family breakdown.   At HSSD we help parents to build better lives for their children. Our core belief is that parents play the key role in giving their children a happy and secure childhood and a good start in life which will help them to achieve their full potential.   Home-Start Stafford and District offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in Stafford Borough.To Home-Start every family is special and we respond to each family’s needs through a combination of home-visiting support, group work and social events.
