Mission

Peace Direct is an award-winning, international NGO supporting local people in some of the most challenging conflict environments worldwide. We work to stop war destroying lives. In every war there are local people trying to stop violence and fighting and their work has a real impact. These people need help. We support them to stop violence escalating and build long term peace. We speak out for local people, ensure the world hears their voices, and challenge world leaders to support them.

We need to film a short video of an interview we will be conducting with Gulalai Ismail, co-founder of Aware Girls - an organisation working towards gender equality and peace in Pakistan. The video will be used to raise awareness of the importance of supporting and showcasing the work of local peacebuilders.
