Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice are the only provider of specialist palliative care in the London boroughs of Bexley and Royal Greenwich. Our services cover an area of 40 square miles with a population of over 500,000 and we provide care and support to all those living with a terminal illness and their families and carers at home, in hospital, on our in patient unit and through our day Hospice.  Last year, we cared for over 2,500 people and families and it cost £8 million to fund our services. All of our services are free and only about one third of our funding comes from the NHS. This means that we depend on the generosity of, mostly local, individuals, trusts, organisations and businesses to raise more than five million pounds annually so that we can continue to provide care to people when it matters most.
