GCP Foundation is an international development charity with a mission to eradicate energy poverty in Africa. We achieve these objectives by replacing harmful fossil fuels with renewable energy and advocate on climate change. We are at a pivotal stage of our development, starting to gain more traction and really grow as an organisation. We are really keen to communicate with our supporters exactly what is going on month-by-month. We are looking for someone who can produce regular communications in an engaging and compelling manner based on what has been happening with our charity.

Volunteer brand ambassador programme manager

Description

GCP Foundation is an international humanitarian and development UK charity with a mission to tackle energy poverty in Africa using renewable energy. The 600 million people in Africa without electricity currently use harmful fossil fuels, such as kerosene, or chop down forests to provide fire wood. This also produces CO2 which harms the environment. GCP Foundation is partnering with social media brand ambassadors to assist us to improve our social media presence (instagram, twitter, linkedin, facebook) and raise our profile. GCP Foundation will also work with our brand ambassadors to assist with fund raising campaigns. GCP Foundation is looking for a volunteer brand ambassador programme manager to assist us to: 1) identify the right ambassadors who align with our mission, 2) create a social media engagement strategy, 3) co-ordinate our outreach programme, 4) supervise our social media volunteers across the various channels, 5) co-ordinate corporate sponsorship for our brand ambassador field trips, an 6) assist with the strategic direction of the programme.
