Mission

According to the Veterans Administration, 22 Veterans commit suicide daily. Today marks an important first step towards the goal of opening the BusiNeighbor Veterans Center (BVC) for all Veterans throughout the state of Georgia. The goal is to help Veterans improve their quality of life through recreation, and to help them reach a state of overall health and wellness. Research found that people who participate in sports clubs and organized recreational activity enjoy better mental health. Participation in recreational groups and socially supported physical activity is shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. BusiNeighbor wants to be a partner with the Veterans Administration to reduce suicide among Veterans and help them live life to the fullest.
