Action Speaks provide community events and activities to give residents a space to interact with each other, we run a community cafe twice a week which not only provides a safe space for residents who may be lonely and/isolated, but it is also a space where we can signpost residents to much needed statutory services. Action Speaks also provide regular sessions to support individuals with their personal development and, health and wellbeing. We host exercise and other sessions including arts & crafts, social evening, exercise and community garden where we grow crops for distribution to our residents and use in our cooking session. Our weekly cafe offers international dishes to cater for the multi-cultural community we serve, we host an annual award event where we recognise residents, teachers at the local schools and local employees who are making a difference in our community. Our services are open to everyone in need, and not restricted to one geographical area.
Poverty Alleviation
Action Speaks c.i.c is a community organisation founded in November 2021 with the aim of reaching residents who may be lonely or isolated, and those struggling to make ends meet, we aim to strengthen community cohesion by empowering one resident at a time to reach their full potential.
We are looking for help in setting up a website that would serve our need for advertising and taking bookings for various events and activities. We would also appreciate help in preparing flyers for said events.
