Our current Dostoyevsky-LA Project is dedicated to cinematic adaptations of four masterpieces by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, a writer whose penetration into the deepest recesses of the human heart had a profound influence on 20th century culture. In transporting the essential elements of Dostoyevsky's works from 19th century Russia to modern-day Los Angeles, we aim to underscore the universality of the great writer's tales as well as commonalities of the human experience, its values and issues.   The Project and accompanying educational materials will constitute a bona fide cultural event and catalyst for artistic truth by presenting a classic author to an entirely new generation in a fresh and exciting form.   Our multiple award winning movie “Notes from the New World” (http://www.vmpfilms.com/Notes_from_the_new_world.html) will be screened in the 3rd I-Filmmaker Festival in beautiful Puerto Banus/Marbella, Andalucía. Some independent filmmakers consider this festival as “one of the best in Spain”. The festival will take place in February 20-24. Looking for a publicist capable to create awareness about these screenings in the Spanish media and beyond. The right candidate could eventually shoot the appropriate material during the festival (however, this is not the major/necessary requirement).
