Wandsworth Radio is about the community. It’s about celebrating Wandsworth as the best and brightest borough to live in London and getting local people involved. Wandsworth Radio is not a commercial radio station so we are not about making money. All of the people at the station are volunteers. Since launching on air in 2015 hundreds of local people of all ages and from many diverse backgrounds have volunteered as presenters, newsreaders, producers and technical crew. We broadcast a huge variety of programmes celebrating Wandsworth and its diverse population. Ourvolunteers have come together to make programmes completely dedicated to Wandsworth. We aim to boost civic pride by being honest, professional, accessible and friendly. We have a strong emphasis on local news and information as initial research suggested people required this from a community radio station for Wandsworth. We encourage debate, engagement in local affairs and the leading of a healthy, fulfilling and active life.

Wandsworth Radio needs help with graphics and design for new logos for community radio programmes going on air soon which will be displayed on our website and social media. We also need help to design posters and flyers for our promotional events such as a day celebrating women getting the vote and our fundraising events.
