One Day One Choir is an inspiring global peace initiative which uses the harmonious power of singing together to unite people around the world on Peace Day, September 21st. It's a simple and very accessible project which is open to anyone, anywhere. It began in 2014 – as a response to growing unrest and conflict in the world – since then more than a million people, from all walks of life and a huge array of different singing groups, have joined in and sung with us in more than 70 countries. The project is run for free and is particularly inspiring for schools. We have free songs and support ideas for schools and communities. We're also about to launch this little film which has just been made for us as a gift. https://youtu.be/Ss_dE1w2y6o Singing together has long been a powerful and positive part of bringing and holding communities together and uniting them in a social and healing way. It’s even been shown scientifically to bond us with one another more quickly than any other group activity … it also gives people a voice and helps them feel connected to others inside and outside of their community, for a common peaceful cause.
