Mission
World Heart Beat is a fresh, modern, award-winning, social enterprise that envisions a global environment where music, as a universal form of communication, bridges cultural, political, economic and linguistic barriers.
We give equal opportunity to young people to learn, through music, skills with which they can address the challenges that they face throughout their lives: leadership, communication and teamwork – attributes that engender confidence and empowerment.
Our multi-genre teaching programmes reflect the diverse musical tastes of the local community.
How we deliver it
Whatever their background, World Heart Beat students are taught, mentored and nurtured by top industry professionals and the best musicians. World Heart Beat has motivated over 1,000 children from local communities to learn, thrive and succeed from creating and playing music. Our frequent concerts have entertained thousands of local people.
World Heart Beat’s teaching serves the children of families, mostly from the London Borough of Wandsworth, who either lack the means to pay fees or who are not supportive of a music education. These children are admitted to World Heart Beat on full or partial bursaries to enable their talent to develop.

We’ve been awarded a building in the prestigious new Embassy Gardens development at Nine Elms, giving us a fantastic opportunity to create a centre of excellence and an extremely valuable community hub in one of London’s top regeneration projects. But a building is just a building… we need to make it come alive.
The building is a shell. To fulfil the project and bring hundreds more young people to music, we need to raise £2million. This is to fund everything — from stage lighting to mixing desks; theatre seating to a coffee shop; sound-proofing to sound systems; a triangle to a Steinway…
We're aiming to open this teaching and 120-seat concert venue in Autumn 2019 - come an help us achieve this ambitious goal!
