Inspire! are a local education charity working in Hackney, Camden, Islington and surrounding areas of London. Our mission is to develop the skills, confidence and motivation of young people in Hackney and beyond. Working in partnership with businesses, education providers and the community, we inspire, support and open doors for young people: improving their access to the world of work, raising achievement levels and enhancing their future career prospects and lives.With the support of employers and their employees, Inspire! develops and delivers programmes that:- Help young people to learn about work and gain practical experience of the workplace- Enable young people to develop the skills and qualities needed for future employment or enterprise- Connect the curriculum to the world of work- Meet the needs of young people who have additional needs, have been excluded, or who are not in education, employment or training (NEET)- Support teacher professional development

Inspire! are a small-medium charity with around 30 staff members. As the only marketing staff member with a dual role split between marketing and fundraising, Inspire! are in need of general strategic guidance and support. As we prepare to launch a new strategy for 2019 - 2021, we need to re-consider our marketing strategy and ensure we are making the most of our limited time and budget. I am looking for an experienced marketer/communicator to provide ongoing mentoring and guidance. Particular areas of need include: - collaborating with non-marketing staff to understand the organisation's needs - setting realistic marketing goals and measuring progress against these goals - setting a budget for marketing spend at a challenging financial time - understanding our key audiences (schools, businesses and young people) and ensuring our communications reach them and meet their needs.
