A True Change is a new 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that is owned and operated by minorities who possess a personal and direct connection to the at-risk population and lifestyle that is presently destroying Denver’s underserved communities. For many high-risk children and adolescents, a window of opportunity may exist for preventive interventions to alter life trajectories in positive ways. However, there is no simple way to do this without more active community leadership that promotes positive youth development. The entire staff at A True Change wholeheartedly believes that education is the key to understanding, personal growth, and overall success. We provide ongoing personalized encouragement, and outreach support services to participants and their families after program completion. Our organization maintains a compassionate “whatever it takes” approach towards positive youth restructure, and mentoring. We are driven by an internal desire to implement change within the at-risk community by making a difference in the lives of our youth.
