Mission
We're about bringing hope & raising aspirations for young people in central London. We do this by mentoring young people in primary & secondary schools to help them become emotioanlly intelligent as well as by running youth clubs, sports sessions and community events that bring cohesion in a diverse area of London that is in the bottom 10% of the government's deprivation index. Every Thursday after school we give out over 150 hot chocolates on our local estate as part of a pop up cafe & playground.
There's only two of us but the need and demand from schools and families is for more mentors & more positive activities for young people. We're activiely looking to grow as we answer the call from our community.

Additional Information
We are a Christian organisation working with young people & families of all faiths & none. Outbreak Youth Movement is the client facing name of The Pimlico Foundation (a slightly less catchy name for youth work!). We employ two full time professionally trained youth workers.
The organisation was envisioned by a group of local people with a heart for their community in response to youth provision cut backs, high levels of drug dealing & the murder of a young person in a gang attack. Although Pimlico sounds affluent there is a huge divide between rich & poor and many isolated families struggling to make a life in a new area.
