Mission

The mission of the Congo Children Trust is to protect, nurture, educate, and empower vulnerable street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Our main vision is to improve the quality of life for these children and help transform their futures. We are doing this by protecting and keeping vulnerable children safe from the dangers of living on the street. Nurturing : Provide essential care like food, shelter, medical help, and emotional support. Educating: Offering high-quality primary schooling and skills training. Empowering: Helping children reintegrate and reunite with their families and communities.

Congo Children Trust was established in 2007 and became operational in DRC in 2009 through Kimbilio. Until May 2026, as the founder, I led the organisation on a voluntary basis. I am now salaried and have greater capacity to relook at our strategy and assist CCT to grow and develop not only on the ground in DRC but also in its reach in the UK. We have been active on Facebook historically but whilst registered on X we don't use it frequently. We're at an exciting cross roads as an organisation as we aim to grow. We're aware that our marketing needs to improve so that we can communicate better who we are and what we do and attract more supporters to our work.

Description

We're a small established charity working with street children in DRC one of the most challenging countries in the world. We're at a turning point as an organisation as we seek to grow significantly in the coming years. We're primarily a grassroots, community voluntary network organisation. We believe that we're good at what we do but not so good at sharing it. We're looking for support to develop our marketing strategy in order that we can communicate our mission and work to corporate organisations who are increasingly interested in our work.
