Mission

Hatch is our latest plan, currently in development - We are creating a community hub in this beautiful historic building in the Old Town of Hastings, The Old Town Hall. Hatch will house all of our projects – It will be a café and Hastings first alcohol free bar. The café and bar will be a training centre for young baristas, bartenders and many other hospitality roles. Full training will be offered to young people and young adults who have barriers to employment. Hatch will also be an Arts and event space and home to our mental health service, The Egg. We also plan to record regular podcasts at Hatch, where we will share people’s stories and journeys Creative, Therapeutic, and at the heart of our Community

The Eggtooth Project is 8 years old, we are a female led social enterprise. We predominantly work to co-create systemic resilience in children, young people and families. With our team of dedicated, talented, creative and mental health specialists we tackle the problems of academic underachievement, low aspiration and mental health issues within the socio-economically deprived community of Hastings and Rother. In 2019 Hastings ranked as the 13th most deprived local council area in England, which is no change from the 2015 data. According to these figures, Hastings is the most deprived local council area in the South East of England by far.
