Mission

Babanousa Emergency Response Room is a local volunteer-led initiative established by the people of Babanousa in West Kordofan, Sudan, as part of the broader Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs) network. Our mission is to provide urgent humanitarian and medical assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict through food basket distribution, community kitchens, support for displaced families and returnees, and the rehabilitation of essential health facilities. We work under extremely challenging conditions to fill critical humanitarian gaps and uphold the dignity of our community.

We currently focus on: Running community kitchens (Al-Takl) to provide daily meals for displaced people and returnees. Distributing essential food baskets to affected families. Contributing to the rehabilitation of Babanousa Hospital and damaged health facilities. Water projects (such as rehabilitating water stations). Awareness campaigns about the dangers of war remnants (landmines and unexploded ordnance). Supporting returnees to the city after major waves of displacement. We operate entirely through the efforts of local volunteers and are currently facing a severe shortage of funding to continue these vital projects. We are looking for free marketing support (content design, social media management, content writing, fundraising campaign design, etc.) to help us reach a larger number of donors and supporters.
