Mission

WomenAfterGreatness (WAG) is a social enterprise on a mission to empower and equip Young Women and Girls in London to conquer negative cycles and create great opportunities. We are committed to supporting the equality and inclusion for marginalised community groups with an acute focus on issues pertaining to Black and Brown women and girls aged 13-26. We do this through our education, training, and wellbeing program and services. We Mentor #SheMentors | Career Mentoring We Educate #SheSessions | Wellbeing & Financial Workshops We Create #SheBuilds | Productions & Events that highlight Challenges & Celebrate Culture Our aim is to significantly reduce the number of women and girls confronted by socio-economic challenges and improve their outcomes by creating safe spaces for healthy wellbeing and personal development and provide the relevant training and education to help access greater career prospects and financial opportunities.

Hello my name is Toyin and I’m currently seeking support to promote and boost our recently launched crowdfunder- Weʼre raising £10,000 to support Womenaftergreatness to continue delivering to marginalised young women! This fund would help us Adapt with a bit of freedom due to the effects of Covid-19 as we are a grassroots enterprise and so whilst I’m applying for funding many of of our day to day operations and on going projects are at risk. I already work full time for the organisation as a volunteer also for side part time and self employed work this year was really about building our sustainability and moving forward from project funding however with the effects of COVID-19 this has been greatly disrupted I’m thankful as we have been creative in our new approaches e.g. a virtual book club launching in July and bi weekly well-being sessions in the park with young woman but as the main facilitator it’s is become harder to manage. I did set up a just giving page on Friday and so far have raised 10% of our funds But I’m needing additional hands, professionals and marketing support on how to build this campaign. I have so many ideas but wanting to be in line with regulations of social distancing but also just really needing assistance as day to day admin is still being led by me and a small team of interns. I’m also really considering changing the campaign to Gofundme as I realised this campaign will be our to me and I want to avoid that and allow it to go to our Buisness as to minimise tax costs for myself but also display integrity and transparency to the potential doners. I have a social media intern but who runs Instagram mostly as that’s where our engagement is mostly so even developing our twitter and just opportunities for good PR & public support is much needed.
