Since the beginning, GFS has worked with girls and young women to encourage them to fulfill their potential.
Our founder started a movement that brought women of all backgrounds together, in pursuit of a fair society. It is that spirit that inspires today.
GFS has a vision of a society free from gender inequality. We aim to achieve it by helping girls and young women build friendships, gain confidence and learn that they are unstoppable.

Why we do it: we want to live in a society free from gender inequality.
How we do it: we provide a place where girls can develop the tools they need to fight for a fair society. We are creating unstoppable girls, life changing friendships and breaking stereotypes, one girl at a time.
What we do: we create a programme of activities designed to develop confidence, self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and resilience. Then, we recruit and train women volunteers to deliver that programme in a single gender space.
GFS is an organisation with lots of history that is going through a period of finding where it fits in within the modern third sector landscape. We have lots of work to do to bring our well established systems and practices up to scratch so we can take a place as one of the leading organisations for girls and young women.
